Project Life 2013...

Hello Readers,
My Final post for 2012! This year I have reached so many new viewers, shared so many stories, layouts, and crafty endeavors! I wish everyone a brighter, healthier, and happier New Year. This year I am really going to try PL. I will not be staying up to ring in the New Year as I have to be to work by the time many will be heading home. Please be safe, do not drink and drive!

Here is the beginning of my Project Life Album: Cover

I used the gold POW paper from the 34th Street, Studio Calico kit. My various new SC stamps for the New Year! I also used versafine onyx ink-pad, Becky Higgins Graph cards and page protector Design A, star border punch, and number wood veneers from SC's Darling Dear collection.

Cheers!

Almost 2013...

Hello Friends!

What a busy year and it went by like a flash! As I reflect on the past year, I am so happy that I went back to paper scrapping. All of the memories I have created and how much I have grown. I have enjoyed my DT work for Freckled Fawn and all of the relationships I have gained. I must say I love sharing in this window to the world and the having the opportunity to be tapped into such a world of creativity and inspiration. Christmas was wonderful and busy. Santa brought just the right presents to two very special little boys. I work in retail and this has meant many long hours over the past month. I am really looking forward to the quite the new year will bring. I am also looking forward to finishing my DD. Today I have a layout from SC's 34th Street kit. While traveling down to my grandparents both boys fell asleep and the pebbles word art was just a perfect match for this moment. I hope you enjoy!

Happy New Years!
Cheers!

A Balloon Tradition

My Dearest Friends and Readers,

It has been a challenge for me to come post here over the past few days. Just reeling of all our worldly tragedies including ones in our very own nation. I knew I wanted to post my deepest sympathies to these families in Connecticut and all around the world for that matter. In America, many of us began our Friday morning with the same old hustle and bustle. Many of us thinking about all of our last minute holiday traditions, shopping, baking, and more. I have to say, for me, the world came to a screeching halt the moment I read my news feed. That day several beautiful angels went into the arms of our heavenly father. Not only in America, but around the world there were several tragedies. My heart aches for all of them. I remember telling my mother a few weeks ago, that I had a strong need to return to church, to find my best friend and teacher. I have felt that the world has become darker even through the lens of my camera. I told her that I had a need to be the light that the world needs more of. This time of year is a merry time of celebration and sadness for me. It has been for 27 years, when my oldest brother became an angel. Throughout my life, I have felt the struggle to follow my path. I have kept my relationship with my heavenly father, the holy spirit, and Christ within my heart. No matter how hard times have been in my life whether it was trying to help my oldest boy overcome is challenges, fighting cancer, being a single mom, or going through a divorce, I know that these are things that I must overcome along my path. I have cried as a parent for these children and adults in Connecticut and around the world, I have prayed for easement.

After my brother passed, it became a tradition for me to send him any balloons I ever received. I would write him a message and send it to heaven. As a small child I would watch that balloon rise to heaven with my messages for him. As an adult I still carry on that tradition and this is how I help my oldest and in the future the baby, overcome the loss of those who are dear to them. On my brother's birthday and on the day he passed away I send him a message. This Christmas, I am starting a new tradition, I plan to purchase a balloon for every continent with a message and sending them up. I urge you to join me this year and every year after. Next year, I would love to try to get as many people as I can to join me and spread this tradition. I have to remember, that there is a world around me hurting just as much. We could all use an extra prayer right now. We all need to try to be the light that the world needs.
May all the stars in the sky shine brighter.

Thank you for taking the time to share and read my thoughts.
Cheers!

December Daily: Days 3 & 4

Hi Friends!
I have days 3 and 4 pictures and dividers to share with you. Tomorrow I will share all of my completed pages. Are you having fun? Running into any concerns? I am having a blast, but my main concern is: will my album be able to fit everything I want in there. I love the fact that the album is 4 X 6 but I think next year I will opt for a bigger size we will see...

The lights have been up for a few days, however we put the finishing touches up on the wreath for the front door and helped out my parents with their tree. I really am considering more lights next year! My parents front yard is a winter wonderland and I need to get a picture of it!

I love owls and bunnies, but more so owls! My tree is home to 32 owls, 16 wooden ornaments, 26 fabric ornaments, and a variety of glass and shatter proof ornaments. I went with multi colored lights for the first time ever in my adult life and they all blink and light up to their own little rhythm  The baby adores this tree and I love getting lost in memories of my children and my own child hood.
Be back tomorrow with my finished pages!!!

Cheers!

December Daily: Days 1 & 2

Good Afternoon!
Had some unexpected new deter my day a little bit yesterday. However, I was able to spend some time with my mom the whole day. As you all know I am joining in the December Daily fun this year. I have created dividers for everyday and I fear I may run out of room. Here are days 1 and 2.

I will be back tomorrow with my completed days full of journaling and inspiration. About each day, In our home it has been a tradition since childhood to take part in an advent calender. For my oldest boy I purchased a Lego Advent on clearance last year. For the baby he gets a special piece of candy. For me each one of my dividers is a lovely treasure to add to my December Daily. The Second day this year became the day to finish my cards as I was detained from my ambitious efforts yesterday. Thanks for looking!
Cheers!
